Service to the community is an educational learning experience. Service Learning is a teaching method that gives students the opportunity to apply what their learning in the classroom, to help meet the real needs of the community.
Each project is with a different community partner (non-profit, public, or private) and involves the needs as defined by the community partner. It could be a beach clean-up, getting rid of invasive plants, helping to lay out irrigation pipes, or planting Native Hawaiian plants!
