Hawai'i CC – Palamanui Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Hawai‘i Community College – Pālamanui is one of three locations at Hawai‘i Community College. To become a student at Pālamanui you:

  • Apply online to Hawai‘i Community College.
  • Select Pālamanui as your site in the application.
  • Once you are accepted, follow the steps to enroll.
  • Register to take classes at the Pālamanui campus in Kona.

The deadline to apply for the Fall semester is August 8 and the deadline to apply for the spring semester is December 15. Visit the academic calendar for more dates.

Pālamanui hosts the University Center, West Hawai'i, which allows students living in West Hawaiʻi to earn degrees and certificates from other University of Hawaiʻi campuses around the state, such as UH Mānoa, UH Hilo, and UH West Oahu.


Pālamanui provides the local student support for the degrees offered through the center. For more information on current courses of study available at Pālamanui through the University Center, please call (808) 969-8808.

Access the campus off Ka‘iminani Drive in North Kona. Turn north off Ka‘iminani Drive by the fire station, directly across from Ane Keohokalole Highway and proceed approximately 1.2 miles until you reach the campus. Click here to find us on Google Maps, or search for "Hawaii Community College Palamanui" in Google.

There is currently no on-campus childcare at Hawai'i CC – Pālamanui.  

 

The County of Hawai‘i does offer bus service to the Hawai'i CC– Pālamanui campus.  Visit http://heleonbus.org/ for the schedule of stops.
