PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion, students are prepared to:
- Demonstrate understanding of the function, interrelationships, and limits of human activities and natural systems as applied to onsite wastewater systems in island settings.
- Demonstrate understanding of the analysis, design, revision, and construction of onsite wastewater treatment systems utilizing prior knowledge, research, and other resources.
- Analyze the technological, economic, ethical, and legal infrastructure as it relates to the study and/or application of wastewater treatment processes.
- Demonstrate the application of communication, critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills to address issues affecting the removal and replacement of cesspools.
- Apply learned skills and demonstrate academic knowledge pertinent to real world situations through engagement with stakeholders.
