And...We're Live! Creative Media Students Get Valuable Experience Through Internship

For Elisabeth Saras, studying Creative Media at Hawai‘i Community College has been “life-changing.”

“This program helps you kind of try different things and really find what works for you,” said Saras, a Creative Media student who is graduating in May. “It gave me the courage and also just the resources to expand on this thing that I’ve always wanted to do but just never thought was possible.”

Fall 2019 Dean's List Announced

Hawai‘i Community College proudly releases the names of the following students who have achieved Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2019 semester.  The Dean’s List requires students to have completed 12 or more credits for a letter grade achieving a grade point average of at least 3.5 (B+) for the semester.  The attached 339 students have attained this distinction.  Please join us in congratulating them!

Explore bachelor’s degree options during UH Transfer Day

Hawai‘i Community College is teaming up with University of Hawai‘i four-year campuses to highlight the pathways to bachelor’s degrees that are available within the 10-campus UH system. 

 

Hawai'i Community College will host 'Girls Who Code' computer science workshops starting January 27

Hawai'i Community College will host a series of free computer science workshops designed for girls in grades 6 through 12. The workshops are being led by Carrie Butler, an instructor in Hawai'i CC's Information Technology program, and are affiliated with the national nonprofit organization "Girls Who Code."

Hawaiʻi Community College–Pālamanui Culinary Arts Students Receive Scholarships at Event

Six culinary arts students from Hawaiʻi Community College–Pālamanui received scholarships on Saturday, December 7, during the 31st Christmas with the Chefs holiday gala.The scholarships were awarded by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Kona Kohala Chefs Association, which uses proceeds from the event to support local culinary arts students and members of the association who want to further their education.The scholarship recipients this year are Estefie Viernes, Blossom Kaunoni, Vichadach C
