Student Conduct Code

The University of Hawaiʻi Executive Policy 7.208 Systemwide Student Conduct Code (EP 7.208) defines expected conduct for students and specifies those acts subject to University sanctions.

Appendix I: Student Infectious Disease Mitigation in Response to COVID-19 clarifies how health and safety requirements related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including those incorporated in the University of Hawaiʻi COVID-19 Guidelines (Interim) are incorporated into EP 7.208.

Students should familiarize themselves with the policy, since upon enrollment at Hawaiʻi CC, a student places themselves under the policies and regulations of the University and its duly constituted bodies.

Disciplinary procedures are detailed in Hawaiʻi Community College’s Student Conduct Code Administrative Procedures. Additional information about student conduct protocols related to COVID-19 health and safety requirements is provided in Hawaiʻi Community College Protocols for COVID-19 Guidelines Noncompliance (Student).  These procedures are designed to afford certain procedural protection to any student alleged to have violated the policy.

Executive Policy 7.208 Systemwide Student Conduct Code replaces HAW 7.101 Student Conduct Code, effective October 15, 2019.

Questions regarding the Student Conduct Code and the related procedures may be directed to Christine Quintana, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, cdamate@hawaii.edu, (808) 934-2509.

Alleged violations of the Student Conduct Code should be reported to Kaleo Quintana via this Kuali form (faculty & staff only) or by email to kaleopon@hawaii.edu or by phone at (808) 934-2730.
