Kīpaepae-Hawaiʻi Protocols Committee

The College Council has approved Kīpaepae-Hawaiʻi Protocols as a committee on February 10, 2012.  The purpose of the Kīpaepae-Hawaiʻi Protocols Committee is to meet the need for traditional Hawaiʻi protocols in our academic, local, and global communities; and to respond to global invitations to bridge resources, talents, and experiences.  Through continued research, design, education, training, and finally execution, Kīpaepae will act as the “face” of Hawaiʻi Community College as we extend our reach beyond our shores.

Membership is open to all constituents of Hawaiʻi Community College, University of Hawaii at Hilo and members of our island community.  If you are interested in becoming a member of Kīpaepae, please contact committee Chair Taupouri Tangaro at (808) 934-2575 or taupouri@hawaii.edu.

Kīpaepae-Hawaiʻi Protocols Committee is housed under the Kauhale Initiative, with direct report to the office of Chancellor Yamane.
