2012 COLLEGE COUNCIL SURVEY
Once again, the College Council asked the Hawaii Community College faculty, staff, administrators and student government ʻohana to evaluate its purpose and effectiveness according to the Council’s Charter. Eight-five of approximately 240 college constituents responded to an on-line survey (Survey Monkey) made available from February 13 to February 24, 2012. Overall, the majority of respondents agree that the College Council serves it purpose.
This is the second time the Council has conducted a college-wide survey. The only change to the survey was the inclusion of “I don’t know” as a possible response.
As a result of this survey, the College Council identified two key concerns to focus on. The first is to increase the awareness of the Council’s purpose. The second concern is to improve disseminating Council information campus-wide.
- The College Council meeting agenda’s will be posted prior to the meeting date on the Council website and broadcasted campus-wide via the campus listserv by the Chair.
- At the All-College Breakfast, the Chair will speak on behalf of the Council to inform the college community on the purpose of the Council and Council activities.
- Council Representatives are to assist with disseminating Council information to their respective constituencies.
