Social Sciences Department

The Social Science and Public Services Department offers a wide array of quality courses for the Liberal Arts degree as well as being the home for five Public Service programs listed below. Although the breadth of its offerings is wide, the Dept. is known for its commitment to learner-centered teaching and active engagement of its students in the larger community to bring about positive change. The tenured, full-time faculty in this Department have all received awards for teaching excellence and/or service to the community. All of its instructors welcome you into a warm, supportive learning community which will challenge you to seek excellence in the spirit of “E `Imi Pono” in every aspect of your life.
