The Office of Continuing Education & Training (OCET) is the community-based, non-credit unit of Hawaiʻi Community College and presently offers a wide-range of training in Workforce and Professional Development, Cultural and Personal Enrichment, Youth Summer Programs, High School Summer Exploration. These classes are offered to the public on-site, online, and can be customized to for individual businesses.
OCET also oversees the Intensive English Program, the Apprenticeship Program and the federally-funded Rural Development Project (RDP) grant which focuses on addressing the ever-changing workplace demands for appropriately educated and work-ready employees.

Compass Test Prep - Register to take our 12-hour COMPASS test prep tutoring session. A self-paced course incorporating exclusive access to your own My Foundations Lab to help you succeed.
Agriculture Series - a weekly offering of classes that will help local gardeners and farmers grow their understanding of the natural world. Instructor, James Rushing will teach the science of agriculture in easy to understand terms. The classes have been specially designed as an introduction to agricultural sciences and are suitable for all experience levels.
Natural Farming - Do you know what natural farming is? Have you heard about it, but not sure if its for you? These courses will teach you what natural farming is and why so many local farmers and gardeners are using this unique and sustainable system. Introduction to Natural Farming, Materials Production and Application, Chicken, and Swine Production courses available.
