In the Footsteps of Queen Kapi‘olani

Colette Higgins, history scholar and Windward Community College Dean of Academic Affairs, will present “In the Footsteps of Queen Kapi'olani” on Thursday, November 30 at the Hawai'i Community College cafeteria in Hilo.
 
Be transported to an era of Hawaiian royalty when King David Kālakaua and Queen Julia Kapi'olani were the reigning monarchs of the Kingdom of Hawai'i.
 
Higgins will share her sabbatical experience tracing the footsteps of the queen when she traveled to England as a guest at Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee in 1887.
