Hawai'i CC Student Government Special Election; voting ends Nov. 28

Aloha Hawai'i CC Students,

Are you interested in serving on the Student Government Senate? Apply for the Secretary, Senator-Palamanui, or Senator - Manono positions today.

This Application will be available from Mon., Nov. 14th at 5:30 PM through Fri., Nov. 18th at 2 PMApplications will be reviewed on Fri., Nov.  18th. Voting will be open on Sat., Nov. 19th at 6:00 AM and closed on Mon., Nov. 28th at 12 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be a registered Hawai'i CC Student, enrolled in at least six (6) credits and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT THIS APPLICATION is Friday, November 18, 2016 at 2 PM.

Available Student Government Position: One (1) Executive Member position (Secretary), from either the Manono Campus or Palamanui Campus and Three (3) Senator positions, one (1) from Manono Campus and two (2) from Palamanui Campus.

The Secretary shall: Take notes during meetings, official minutes and prepare meeting agendas.
a. Maintain accurate and complete records and documents.
b. Make all records and documents available to all ASUH ‐ Hawai'i CC members.
c. Be responsible for the intergroup communications required to coordinate meetings, events, and daily business of ASUH ‐ Hawaii CC.
d. Prepare and keep an event calendar of all meetings, programs, and events.
e. Create and maintain archives.
f. Acceptance of oath of office following induction.

The Senator shall:
a. Assist with recruiting new members and volunteers.
b. Chair an ASUH ‐ Hawai'i CC committee or be assigned to work with executive members on specific activities, functions, tasks, or other ASUH &#8208 Hawai'i CC projects.
