Hawai‘i Community College and the Hilo Veterans Center are pleased to announce they will host a Veterans Resource, Education and Job Fair at the Hawai‘i CC campus in Hilo on Friday, July 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“There are many resources available in the community to help veterans with careers and education,” said Sue Dunwoody, the Hawai‘i CC Veteran Program Specialist. “The goal of this event is to bring those resources together in one place so it’s easy for veterans to get information and make connections that will help them succeed.”
Local businesses, veterans service organizations, community service organizations, and other groups will be on hand to talk about the jobs and services that are available.
In addition, the event will feature breakout sessions led by experts in which veterans can learn about benefits, financial planning, educational planning, career services, and resume writing.
This program is partially funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. We are an equal opportunity employer and program. Auxiliary aids and services to individuals with disabilities are available upon request.
