Mandatory New Student Orientation

Welcome Students!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Hawaiʻi CC!
We are so excited to have you as a member of our Kauhale!

New Student Orientation (NSO) is mandatory for all new students. It provides a smooth transition to college to help you succeed on your academic journey. Orientation will introduce you to college life, student resources, and class registration.During Orientation,you will also meet with an Academic Counselor/Advisor for advising and to register for classes.

All NSO are currently being conducted virtually using Zoom video conferencing, which requires reliable internet, a webcam, and a tablet or computer.

Orientation Exemptions

Students who have attended a New Student Orientation within the last 2 years may request an exemption from orientation and will be required to meet with an Academic Counselor/Advisor instead. If this applies to you, please email succeed@hawaii.edu using your @hawaii.edu email account.

Returning Students and Transfer Students 

Returning students who previously attended Hawai'i CC and Transfer students who previously attended a college/university other than Hawai'i CC are required to meet with an Academic Counselor/Advisor to discuss plans and register for classes. Use STAR Balance to schedule your appointment.
