Prospective students can receive extra help enrolling at Hawai‘i Community College and also enter to win a tuition award during a campus event in Hilo on Wednesday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Hawai‘i CC will host “Express Admissions Day & Registration Dash” to help students enroll for the Fall 2018 semester. The event will be held in Kaneikeao (Bldg. 379, Room 1) at the Manono campus in Hilo.
The deadline to apply for fall is August 1, and classes start August 20.
Attendees of Express Admissions Day can:
- Complete an application.
- Receive their MyUH student number.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and learn about financial aid.
- Schedule academic advising, orientation and placement testing.
- Receive help with registration.
- Have their questions answered by faculty and staff.
Prospective students should bring 2016 tax information, health clearances and high school transcripts.
Hawai‘i CC offers 26 academic majors that include career and technical programs that train students for specific careers and liberal arts and science programs that prepare students to transfer to four-year universities. The college has a campus in Hilo and a campus in Kona called Hawai‘i Community College – Pālamanui.
To be entered into the drawing for the tuition award, applicants must attend Express Admissions Day; complete and/or schedule all enrollment steps at the event; complete all enrollment steps and register for classes by the end of the business day Friday, July 27. The tuition award will cover the cost of up to 12 credits for one semester.
