Peer and Benchmark Comparison Groups

The following reports highlight our 1994, 2000, and 2005 Carnegie Classification, our Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) identifying unit ID, and both benchmark and peer institution comparison groups for the years listed below. The FICE code that is used in these reports is a reference number assigned to colleges and universities by the Federal Interagency Committee on Education (FICE). The 2009 report below also contains an appendix, which highlights the 2005 Basic Carnegie Classification Categories. We are identified as a benchmark group for the University of Hawaii Community Colleges System (all UHCC campuses), as individual UH community college campuses do not have benchmark comparison groups.

The Hawaii Community College peer group listing in the reports was developed by the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS). Additional information on how and why the benchmark and comparison groups were selected can be found in the introductory section of the MAPS UH Peer and Benchmark Comparison Groups [PDF].

Accreditation Specific Reports

The following reports take off from where MAPS reports left off. Not all of the reports available today in MAPS are current, some are not developed with Spring data, and our accreditors would like to see our data disaggregated in a way that is more granular than can be found in some of the published MAPS reports. To that end the following reports were developed in-house in support of our accreditation efforts.

FT/PT Student Enrollment Across the Institutions Range of Instructional Programs

This first section highlights our full-time and part-time student enrollments across our institutions range of instructional programs. The reports are disaggregated by liberal arts/CTE division, instructional unit, major, gender, race/ethnicity, full-time or part-time status, and age group.
