Hawai‘i Community College is open to any high school graduate or person 18 years of age or older who can benefit from the instruction offered and to the extent allowable by State and Federal regulations.  Hawai‘i Community College is authorized under Federal Law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.  Furthermore, highly motivated and academically and/or vocationally talented high school juniors or seniors may apply for admission to Hawai'i Community College through the Early Admit/Running Start Programs

Admission is based on an “Open Door Policy,” which means that any applicant who submits a completed application by the application deadline can expect to be accepted to the college.
