HawCC’s 21th EARTH FAIR

COME ONE! COME ALL! It’s the biggest event Haw CC puts on each year. The EARTH FAIR is our big out outreach to the people of the Big Island where we host them to a day of fun, frolic and education. This year there will be even more exhibits and more giveaways.
Hawaii Community College's 21th ANNIVERSARY Earth Fair will feature presentations by Dr. MANU MEYER – UHH professor, GARY GILL from the BLUE PLANET FOUNDATION and excepts from Al Gore's film, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, for KIDS by Dr. JOSH COOPER in The UHH new GYM.
This year the event goes from 9AM to 4:00 PM. The morning from 9 to 12 is for
the school field trips. The public should come at noon. There will be: 70
BOOTHS AND EXHIBITS. Plus: ENTERTAINMENT ALL DAY including Belly Dancers, Fire
Dancers, Puppets, Hula, Gymnastics, AFRO-CUBAN DRUMMING, CLOWNS, JUGGLERS, and
more. ENVIRONMENTAL VIDEOS will be available for the kids and for the general
public. EVERYTHING IS FREE and there will be many, many surprises and
giveaways. The public leaves the Earth Fair with bags full of gifts,
plants, goodies, and tons of informational brochures. Forest Team will give out
over 1,000 FREE NATIVE TREE SEEDLINGS and plants. FREE LEMONADE, FREE POPCORN,
FREE FRUITS, FREE COOKIES and many other [surprise!] giveaways will be available
for the public to take home in free cloth shopping bags. The
"Fair Grounds" are on the upper campus: extending from the CC Plaza to the

educational information to help make us all better Earth Citizens. The Fair is
offers hours of fun and frolic. It is a celebration of Life that also
disperses important environmental news and education to our island community to
make us into better Earth Citizens.
